The Cressi Quantum Mask incorporates Cressi's advanced internal thermoregulation system and a special moulding around the eyes and nose to help deviate air flow towards the silicone mask skirt. This advanced anti-fog system from Cressi helps to minimise fogging although it's always advisable to clean lenses on a new mask before use. Then prior to using the mask it is advisable to use the usual anti-fog solution/method prior to snorkelling use.
The external part of the skirt features a cooling system composed of two small heat exchangers that act as radiators. The effect is that the temperature inside mask drops, coming closer to the external temperature and the droplets of humidity are trapped before the air reaches the lenses, preventing them from fogging up. A patented membrane surrounding the inner nose pocket (1) and both the inner eyes pockets (2) which acts as a barrier and traps any moisture which naturally escapes as you breathe through the mouth. The result is that not only is the moisture channelled away from the lenses, thus avoiding the fogging up of them, but it also reduces the need to compensate for pressure.
Despite the presence of the small internal membranes deviating the air flow and the external heat exchangers, the body of the Quantum mask is nonetheless compact and represents the most advanced design offered on the underwater vision market. The lenses are not treated chemically so it is always a good idea to clean the lenses when new and use saliva prior to diving or snorkelling use.
The internal volume of the Cressi Quantum Mask is also reduced giving the feeling of enhanced vision. Superlight and easy to adjust mask strap buckles which can be pivoted to provide the perfect angle and position on the face. Even the mask strap gets a makeover making it really comfortable on the back of the head to enhance fit and comfort.
Cressi Itaca Ultra Dry Snorkel helps you breathe with confidence and explore the underwater world. The Itaca snorkel has been streamlined to reduce drag from the water and as the name suggests it is great for snorkelling, keeping the water out of the snorkel when diving below the surface. This Dry snorkel features an internationally patented dry top guard, which prevents water entry when under the water. The new mechanical dry guard has three movement joints, whose counterweight ensures immediate opening of the upper valve whether you dive or emerge from the water.
The lower part of the snorkel features a flexible corrugated section with smooth internal surface which minimises possible breathing resistance. The compact soft silicone mouthpiece is angled for better positioning while in the mouth and has a reduced bite size for prolonged use without gum fatigue. The mouthpiece body consists of two pieces, with an inclination that ensures better and faster water drainage. A lower purge valve enables instant clearing when needed. The elliptical shape of the snorkel tube; the mouthpiece angled for comfort in the mouth; the bottom section including the purge valve angled for improved drainage; all these features combine to encourage optimal positioning and comfort when in use. The Cressi Itaca Ultra Dry snorkel is designed specifically to be worn on the Left hand side of the mask/face (as are the majority of snorkels).
